Connect DPD (UK) carrier to your Calcurates account
In order to sync your Calcuraters account with the requested carrier please proceed to Menu > Carriers.
You'll need an existing DPD account to complete this form and specify the following data:
- Account Number. Fill in the DPD UK account number.
- Password.
Before you start shipping your orders with DPD, you need to request and print test labels that must be sent to DPD and approved.
This process is mandatory before you start dispatching orders with DPD, and if it is not followed, this may cause a number of issues to your business, including:
- Orders being refused by the DPD network but still charged
- Orders going missing and not received by your customers
- Your DPD account being suspended or cancelled
Instructions
Notify DPD Account Manager of Account Onboarding – you will need to provide Company name and Account Number.
Create and print test labels for each service associated with your account. DPD will sign off on the labels and permit you to move forward creating labels within Calcurates.
Having filled all the required fields with valid data, your carrier will be connected to the Calcurates account.
In the carriers grid the DPD (UK) carrier label will be changed (from red to yellow "connected" icon):
There are no API endpoints provided from DPD side, therefore Real-Time rates cannot be requested on the fly.
For that reason we have worked on creating Table Rates methods equivalent to the rates DPD provides generally.
This can be used as a workaround to cover the real-time rates depending on the product weight and size:
We are ready to provide you with a package of pre-configured methods to imitate real-time rates from DPD.
